• Primarily associated with teeth for the general public, the field of dentistry itself is not limited to teeth, but also encompasses other aspects of craniofacial complexes, including supporting structures, dentistry, and oral health.

What are the jobs and responsibilities for Dentists in India?

• Dentists diagnose and treat problems in the mouth, teeth and gums. They can treat injuries and malformations that occur due to a variety of causes such as tooth decay, gum disease or tooth malformations.

• Dentists examine x-rays to identify the underlying problems in a person's mouth and help fix the problem. Filling cavities, sealants are used where necessary.

• Dentists often help patients improve their smiles by applying cosmetic dental treatments such as whitening.

• You can also repair broken teeth and correct the orientation of crooked teeth to strengthen them. Mould can form in a person's mouth to develop a prosthesis for missing teeth. Patients are advised to maintain the health of their teeth by using toothpaste, mouthwash and other dental products.

• Most dentists are self-employed and either work full-time or set up their own practice, but this usually requires an initial investment from their income.
